Livonia, MI., January 23, 2007
Bright House Networks of Michigan announced today the completion of the digital simulcast to its expanded basic service. As the leading provider of cable television, high-speed Internet and digital phone services, Bright House Networks’ All Digital Lineup offers digital box customers to view all of their favorite channels in full digital with improved picture quality.
Bright House’s Digital Television (DTV) transforms television as it transmits pictures with higher resolution for dramatically better picture and sound quality. Digital technology also provides interactive video and data services, such as Video on Demand (VOD)—cable’s two-way system that allows viewers to control television content with a click of a switch.
“Congress has ruled that all TV broadcasts be digital by early 2009 and this anticipated upgrade is one of Bright House Networks’ first steps in providing an all digital platform to our customers,” said Robert McCann, President of Bright House Networks of Michigan. “With ten times more pixels on the screen, all displayed with digital precision, the picture quality for our digital lineup is incredibly detailed. The clarity of digital is now at the fingertips of our customers.”
Bright House Networks’ digital set top box customers will receive an automatic 100% digital upgrade to their service at no additional charge (no additional installment or equipment is needed for digital customers), guaranteeing the best picture quality possible. Customers without digital service or boxes will be unaffected by this change and will continue to receive the same services they have with Bright House.
Bright House Networks provides customers the very best in video, high speed data and phone service. For additional information, please call 866-898-9101.
